Jellystone aka Yellowstone
We took one more trip before we all would be tortured in a sanitarium I call school. So we decided to pack up and head to the great outdoors, where we would be eaten alive by mosquitoes, see animals and nature, and be exposed to carnivore animals. So we went to YELLOWSTONE (or as my dad calls it JELLYSTONE). We had fun and it was a nice escape before entering prison. Enjoy these photos of our get-a-way.

Tetons- i took this picture.
We saw tons of Buffalo. They were all over the place.
COOL "hot pot" I took a picture of.
I don't remember what this was called but it has steam rising up from it and I thought it was cool so I took a picture.

Homemade face scrubs
We did skin care for young women's and tried face scrubs that our leader had made. For a while I wanted to try more because I felt like some of them worked so I found a bunch of recipes on line. Here they are.
Basic Baking Soda Scrub
Perfect for everyday use.
2 to 3 Tbsp. Baking soda
Small amount of water
Mix the ingredients into a paste.Using a circular motion, apply to face and gently scrub.
Basic Cornmeal Scrub
Slightly more potent than the baking soda scrub, this works best on a 2 to 3 day interval.
2 to 3 Tbsp. Cornmeal
Small amount of water
Mix and apply in the same manner as baking soda scrub.
Rose Almond Face Scrub
To brighten and soften skin.
1 tsp rosewater
1/2 tsp almond flour or finely ground almonds.
Mix into paste and apply.
Oatmeal Scrub
A stimulating, thoroughly cleansing 3-in-1 scrub!Smooths, tones, and hydrates.
1 Tbsp. ground oatmeal (use steel cut oats, not instant)
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. yogurt
Combine and apply.
Optional: let your scrub double as a mask! Let it sit a few minutes before scrubbing and rinsing.
Azuki Bean Scrub
Banish your blackheads. Especially effective for combination and oily skin types.
½ cup dried azuki beans
Grind beans. (Having a small coffee grinder set aside specifically for beauty recipes is a wise idea).
Add a little water to the mixture and apply.
Milk and Honey Scrub
Maximize or minimize its moisturizing effect at will.
Choose your dairy:
1 tsp Skim Milk (Oily skin)
1 tsp 2% Milk (Normal or combination)1 tsp Cream (Dry)
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp ground almonds
Banana Scrub
A very finely textured, delicious-smelling scrub. Can double as a mask.
2 tsp mashed banana
2 tsp rolled oats
1 tsp milk1 tsp honey
Honey Sugar Scrub
If you have ever used a body sugar scrub, you know how amazing they are. Work the same magic on your face!
1 tsp. of honey
1/2 tsp. of sugar (either cane or brown — both work well)
Blend in bowl. Apply.Rinse very thoroughly, as this recipe can be slightly sticky.
*Some of these things sound funny but they work. So have some fun.
And if you have any recipes, leave a comment and give it to me.

Memories in the Making
WOW has time flew by. CAN you believe it's now AUGUST. For Me school starts in 17 DAYS!! Doesn't it seem like summer just started. In 47 days I will BE 14. That means stake dances, next year I can get my driving permit, and for me it means 8th grade this year. (ick)
For you it could mean going back to school yourself or sending a child to their first day of kindergarten.
No matter what that means to you we all realize that life is pretty dang short. It seems like yesterday my sister told me she was having a baby. I remember holding him in my arms and that was 8 years ago. I can remember things like they were yesterday. LOOk at all of us now . I am an aunt of 12 nieces and nephews and one on the way.
KATELIN at Disneyland, posing everywhere she went. We have some funny pictures of her.
MEEEEEE! After my dance pictures. This season was great and we all bawled when it was over because we all love each other like sisters and some were going to go to high school. We all were going to miss being together.
MCKELLE at her baptism party. We set up the giant water slide we all love and then all went water sliding.
JACOB at our family's 4th of July reunion and he is at the pool. He had a full body swimsuit that had a life vest in it.
ISAAC and dad at our 4th of July reunion at our cabin eating on the deck our traditional breakfast of blueberry pancakes and eggs.
RILEY on his baptism day. When we sang primary songs at the service he sang his best and so loud because he was getting baptised. He was so excited.
AUDRIE at her kindergarten graduation. She started crying at the end of the graduation because kindergarten was over.
DAVEY on the slide at Savannah's birthday party. He would go down and then climb back up over and over again and had a blast.
SAVANNAH eating her apple sauce and strawberry birthday cake. She was so funny when she opened presents because she got so excited when she saw what someone had gotten her.
TYTAN at our cabin. He smiled most of the time, he loved It there.
BRADEN, BRAXTON, BRADLEY, I love this picture because Braden is haveing a good time, Braxton is distracted by something else, and Bradley is not very happy about staying still.

Me in my Dance sweat suit ready for a competition.
NOW A TRIP TO THE PAST
This is Riley, Mckelle, and Audrie when they got in trouble for picking Grandma T. pretty flowers that are on the right
This is me Before dancing in a parade to "Funky town".
I still remember a tiny bit of the dance.
Dad and I going to a daddy daughter party, where we won the 3 legged race.

Mckelle and me holding Braden when he was first born.

Kristy's college graduation. ( she put her cap and gown on me.)
This is me and Grandpa and Grandma M
This is Riley when he was little. He wanted to be a cowboy. That was our toy horse and his hat was one that decorated my room.

Riley, Mckelle, and Audrie at Christmas.

You see life is really short and you need to take the time to smell the roses,
and make every memory last. I named my blog "Memories in the making" because life is full of them and everything we do are memories in the making. Happy August. Come what may and love it!!!
