My Christmas Miracle

The past two days here in Utah we have been getting tons of snow. yesterday It snowed all day and never stopped. Christmas break is suppose to start tomorrow. This morning we woke up and soon after our power went out so we were getting ready in the dark. I looked outside and the snow was crazy high. The rodes were really slick. My neighbor called us and told us that the bus services were cancelled today and everyone who rode the bus was excused from school. So I went back to bed. When I woke up I learned that the whole district is cancelled today and we would get a SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!! Last night my dad said that even when they had the worst snow Storms in the past and they have never cancelled school in our district. But today they did. The snow is still coming down strong. We are going to have a really white Christmas this year!!!!

Christmas Greetings

Hello everyone. As the Christmas Season rapidly approaches I just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and update you on our family. Laura and Dave just had their third child. Her name is Elise Nona Tervort. She is a really cute baby and looks a lot like Savannah when she was born.

After Thanksgiving Tony and I went down to Levan with Jamie and Brad to cut down a Christmas tree. I love our tree. It has character. Tony and Daniel are moving into one of our duplexes in Payson so it is fun to have them near.

With only 6 days until Christmas I am surprised that we don't have many presents under the tree yet. So I am betting that we will be doing a lot of shopping this week. After Tuesday school will be over until January. I am so excited for a break. It has been forever since we have had a break. Dad has planned out our whole week. I think that he is just so pumped to go to the cabin since we haven't been their for quite some time. We also our having a Christmas party this week and if we are lucky then we might get a visit from a special person.

Well I hope your Christmas is bright and of Christmas Cheer. And you remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Love, Kaylee

Experiencing girls camp

I got to go to girls camp this week. It was a good experience. I had so much fun and we even had a bear and her cub roaming around camp. I have been so amazed at the spirit I felt there.

The theme for our stake girls camp was "Called to Serve". Each ward was assigned a country... we were Germany. We learned Called to Serve in German. That was cool. At camp we were all missionaries. We all recieved a "Preach My Gosple" manual, a hilighter, and a journal you get for personal progess. Each morning we woke up for as we call Hour Of Power. At 6:30 we woke up to exercize and study our scriptures and "Preach My Gosple" 's. The waking up and exercising wasn't the easest part. Our camp director pounded this cup on the cement ground of our cabin (that woke us up). But I loved reading and studying.

One day we a speaker from our stake come up to camp and spoke to us about charity. One clip he showed us was about a girl who played college softball. She had never in her whole carreir had hit a home run. Not as a kid, not in high school, not in college. One day on her college chapionship game she hit one. As her two other team mates scored she ran towards first base.

Suddenly the croud saw her fall to the ground. I don't remember what it was but she had injured her leg and was lying on the ground in pain. She only being a little way from first base, crawled forward and layed on the base. The coach asked the ump about putting someone in for her. She asked about teammates helping her. There was nothing they could do. Her teammates couldn't help her.

A girl from the other team walked up to the ump and asked if her and a teammate could pick up the girl and walk her around the bases. They could. So the the 2 girls picked up and walked the girl around the bases tapping her left foot ( the one that wasn't injured) on each base as they went. The other team lost that game that day. The girl's homerun gave them the game.

I love that story. It should so much charity those girls had. Charity is the pure love of Christ. The whole time we were at camp we prayed for Charity. We also had these good classes taught by return elders and sister missionaries. Later we had what we call a faith walk. There was a trail between the ampitheater and the lodge. We all met in the ampitheater with our journals. We were asked to take a while and write at least four adjectives about out savior. While we did this they sent each ward one by one up the trail. Ironicly we were the last to go so we wern't in any rush.

As we walked up this trail, there were pictures of Jesus on the sides. One picture hit me hard. It was a young women kneeling before Jesus and he was placing a crown on her head and the temple was in the back ground. It was title "Daugther of a King". Underneath it, it had 2 Timothy 4:7-8. It says.."I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up fo me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

After we walked up that path, we went into the lodge where a slide show of the savior was going. At the very end we were asked to write four new adjectives. It was so spirital and all of our ward was crying. We were all so touch by the love of our father in Heaven and the savior. We were so happy. All of our eyes were swollen and our faces red. The spirit was so strong.

The next day Dad came up and spoke a little to us he did a great job. After that, our ward gathered around our fire for our testimony meeting. The spirt was so strong. As it was going I realized that each one of the girls and leaders were going through something. And I felt a deep love and compassion for these girls. They helped strengthen my testimony from their sweet spirits and testimony. I felt the love of Heavenly Father and the savior so strong the whole time. I feel really blessed for the atonment and for the gosple and the scriptures and a righteous and loving family, ward family, and friends. I am so glad I went to girls camp. It was one of the greatest experince and the best girl's camp I've ever been to.

AN UPDATE

So wow it has been forever since I last posted. I guess I just got caught up with school and dance and family life. Now that dance is over and we only have 3 1/2 days left of school I now have time to write. Summer is almost here FINALLY!!!! I was going nuts in school. But it isn't feeling much like summer yet. Our weather here is so bipolar at the moment. It's a nice day then the next it rains like crazy. Or it's really hot and the next day it is freezing. I want it to be warm NOW!

So with family life, My sister in law is having a baby!! Yeah! little Davey and Savannah are excited about having a new brother or sister. Jamie's oldest boy just graduated. Kindergarten! My how fast they grow. Dance is over boohoo! But school is almost out yahoo! Oh I am getting 2 teeth removed tomorrow. I am not to happy about it. They are going to put me to sleep while they do that so I can use some EXTRA prayers.

FUNNY STORIES
So lately we had stake conference and Jamie and her family came because they just moved by us. Her little boy Brax leaned over to my mom and said
"When is it going to be over"
Mom said "Soon, listen to this good talk." This women was speaking and keep in mind Brax is just like 4.
" Women talk too long"
I thought that was a knee slapper!

Ty (Kristy's) is so polite. he is Not even two yet. He always says thank you mama or thank you grandpa or I love you. it is SO cute.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
next Idem of business..... I don't know. Never mind. Well if any one can think of anything else that has happened lately that I missed, please tell me.
Love, Kaylee!!

Mom's sugery

So mom's surgery went well. And we are all glad. They were able to repair the valve with what they the best possible way and it is strong. They usually keep them in ICU for 3 days but they only kept her there for one day. But she has had problems with Arrhythmia at the beginning but they gave her some medication and it cleared up (which means her heart was racing). But last night she had another episode. This one was less dangerous kind. It can make you faint and dizzy and lightheaded and tired. But they are not life threatening usually. But they are keeping her medication.
There are two kinds, atrial tachycardia and ventricle tachycardia. The atrial kind is less dangerous and that's the kind she had last night. But she hasn't had any of them today so that's good. They said that the earlest time that she could come home is Monday but that's if the Arrhythmia is all cleared up and under control and she is doing really well. So she will probably stay for at least a week from the surgery which is Wednesday. Thanks for all your prayers.
